![]() In testing, a stock 5.3L was improved from 269 horsepower and 299 ft-lbs. of torque at the rear wheels, to 384 horsepower and 390 ft-lbs. of torque with the addition of the E-Force supercharger system. On a stock 6.2L SUV, the performance was increased from 301 horsepower and 313 ft-lbs. of torque at the rear wheels, to 407 horsepower and 434 ft-lbs. of torque. These new systems utilize the same Eaton Twin Vortices Series (TVS) Gen VI rotors found in the stock ZR-1 Corvette as well as Edelbrock’s highly successful Corvette and Camaro Superchargers. Unlike other manufacturers, the supercharger assembly is integrated into Edelbrock’s unique intake manifold for a truly seamless design with minimal components. The intake features 12″ long runners for maximum low-end torque and an integrated bypass valve that helps reduce parasitic loss under light throttle for improved gas mileage potential. Keeping the air cool are dual, high capacity, air to water intercoolers and a dual core, low temperature heat exchanger. It has been designed to meet 50-State emissions regulations and works with all OEM emissions equipment (E.O. Number D-215-81). A Supplemental Fuel Pump kit will be required for all 2007-09 non-Flex Fuel vehicles. Two kits are available and they include a replacement fuel pump, fuel level sender and fuel pump control module. |
