Everyone with a love for hot rods and the open road dreams about a cruise like the Hot Rod Power Tour. It only comes around once a year but joining in on this caravan for one or more of the seven daily destinations certainly won’t leave you wanting for more. This year’s Tour took us into and out of countless small towns via country backroads separated by long stretches of open highway as we crossed the border into six different states under rain clouds that seemed to follow us to every stop of the long haul. As one of the main sponsors of Power Tour, our pace with the Big Red Edelbrock rig was even more hectic than the participants. We had to get to each destination early and set up the display before the cruisers arrived, then break it all down after each show before hitting the road again.
The final day of Power Tour 2019 wrapped up in Norwalk, OH, at Summit Motorsports Park. Randy Morris from Macon, GA, was the lucky winner of our Pro-Flo 4 drawing, and we announced another daily winner of a new AVS2 Carburetor. For now, life in the small town known as the Maple City is back to normal, at least for a few days until the NHRA Nationals rolls into town in less than a week. In spite of the weather, this year’s Power Tour brought out some of the best hot rods, muscle cars and trucks that we’ve seen. For those of you who missed the final day, check out our video and photos from Norwalk, and we’ll see you next year.
