5 Fathers Day... Perfect For A Roadster Show

2010 LA Roadster Show

ABOUT THE LA ROADSTER EVENT

The Los Angeles Roadsters Car Club was formed in 1957 and is still going strong with 30 active members, 15 associate members and 4 honorary members, all with pre-36 Roadsters.

In 1960, the Club started the now famous Los Angeles Roadsters Show and Swap Meet.  Over the years, the show has become a Father’s Day tradition for car enthusiasts from around the world. The show has earned it’s reputation as “the greatest roadster show on earth”. The show features more than 800 pre-36 roadsters, 1,500 pre-72 specialty cars,  a giant swap meet, and commercial vendor midway.

The annual Roadster Show is planned and operated by 30 active & associate members and their spouses.  This is an event that is a family affair and an annual tradition in the street rodding industry.

The L. A. Roadsters are well know for their beautiful roadsters as well as their Club uniform of red shirts and white pants.  This uniform has been a tradition since the Club started in 1957.

    List of activities and entertainment:

  • Cars…lots of them to see. All makes and models. Motorcycles welcome.
  • Live band performing good time rock and roll
  • Concessions – this is the good stuff! A variety of “fair style” foods will be available in the food midway
  • Beer Garden
  • Hot Rodders of Tomorrow Engine Challenge – Teams from local high schools will compete in a head-to-head engine build competition. You will see these kids orchestrate the tear-down and reassembly of high performance Chevy engines. This is an outstanding show of teamwork. It is truly something you don’t want to miss.
  • Awards ceremony – at approximately 3:00 our judges will be presenting awards to the Top 20 car entries.

Lets not forget that this show is a charity event that will help students of The Center for Learning Unlimited achieve educational success. This campaign may be the most important in the school’s existence as the State has cut key grants that help support the Center and it’s students. All proceeds are for the benefit of The Center for Learning Unlimited. A $5.00 donation to enjoy a great day of activities and entertainment will go a long way in ensuring the educational success of these special kids.Come out and Join Us.
