Due to the continued forecast for 3 to 5 inches of rain over the course of the weekend, the NMCA has made the decision to cancel the 9th Annual Quick Fuel Technology NMCA Muscle Car Nationals in the best interests of the members of the NMCA.

After several weeks off, the Edelbrock NMCA series heads to Bowling Green, Kentucky this weekend for the 9th Annual Quick Fuel Technology NMCA Muscle Car Nationals, the second race of the 2010 Edelbrock Drag Racing Series.

Always a racer and fan favorite, this year’s race at Beech Bend Raceway is even more anticipated due to the fact that last year’s event was rained out.

Gates open Friday April 30th at 10 A.M., followed by a test and tune session from noon until 3:00. There will be one qualifying session Friday, which is scheduled to begin at 3 PM. Two sessions of qualifying are slated for Saturday with eliminations set to begin Sunday at 9:00 AM.

Off the track, you’ll see the huge TREMEC NMCA Car Show, as well as a killer swap meet and vendor midway.

Schedule for April 30 – May 2:

Friday, April 30:

  • Gates open at 12:00
  • Test and tune 12:00 – 3:00 pm
  • Qualifying round #1 3:00 pm
  • Gates close at 5:00 pm

Saturday, May 1:

  • Gates open at 9:00 am
  • Racing all day from 9:15 am – 6:00 pm

Sunday, May 2:

  • Gates open at 8:00 am
  • Racing 9:00 am – 3:00 pm
  • Car show awards 3:30 – 5:00 pm
  • Final rounds all Eliminators 5:00 pm
  • Event concludes 6:00 pm
