1 ROX Heads A Serious Casting for All Out Competition

Engineered for all out competition, Edelbrock’s ROX Pro-Port Raw cylinder head, #777669, offers a high quality casting that is ideal for extreme circle track and drag racing applications.

The all-new Victor ROX Pro-Port Raw cylinder head is designed for serious dirt track and drag racing competition applications. It has been cast with extra material in the intake ports, exhaust ports and combustion chambers to allow for application specific professional CNC or hand porting. It also features raised exhaust ports to improve flow efficiency and the deck includes extra material to allow fine tuning of the combustion chamber. This head is designed to accept GM SB2 style valve covers. The ROX Pro-Port Raw is the first cylinder head to market that is exclusively designed for engine blocks with 4.5″ bore spacing.

The Edelbrock Victor ROX Pro-Port Raw is treated to a Hot Isostatic Pressing (HIP) process to ensure the finest and most durable casting quality possible. HIP processing is a forming process that combines heat and pressure to consolidate the metal and press out any gaseous material. The end result is a dense casting, comparable to billet material. Resulting in minimal distortion when used in forced induction and extreme duty applications.

    Features Include:

  • Pro-Port Raw design with extra material in the casting for custom porting
  • Raised exhaust ports for improved flow
  • Hot Isostatic Pressing (HIP) process treated for the ultimate extreme duty casting
  • Accepts GM SB2 style valve covers
  • Features 4.5″ bore spacing
  • Valve seats and guides included but not installed
  • Part-No: #777669

Letters to Edelbrock

Wednesday, August 4th, 2010

Dear Mr. Edelbrock,

When we were reading the play Macbeth in my 10th grade English class, I was trying to ask the student’s questions that could help them relate the play to everyday life. Students often struggle with reading Shakespeare and feeling that he is relevant to their lives.  When we reached the part where Macbeth hosts the king for dinner, I asked the students what famous person they would invite to dinner. It was a brief in-class assignment so students were allowed to free write without worrying about spelling or grammar issues. If this student knew I was sending this to you he would feel horrified since he never edited it.  But I knew that you would probably be touched to know that a 16-year-old student from Seekonk, MA (home of the Seekonk Speedway) dreams about meeting you.  He is extremely interested in working in the automotive industry when he gets older.  I am very proud of him for working hard in my honors class this year.  If it wouldn’t be too much to ask I was wondering if you would be willing to send him an autographed hat and or book in recognition of his hard work and future dreams.  My dad always speaks very highly of you and although we have never met, I admire you for the stories my dad has told me about your family’s hard work and dedication.  Hopefully one day our paths will cross.  For now, I will continue to be entertained by my dad’s stories!

Thanks,
Morgan Hellmold

What famous person would you invite to dinner?  Why?

I would invite Vic Edelbrock to dinner at my house.  He is the most well-known aftermarket performance group in the automotive industry.  He is very pro American with all his parts made in the USA, which I support dearly.  He is one of my idols and which one day I would like to join such a performance industry.  I would serve him an old fashioned American barbecue with burgers, hot dogs, chicken wings, etc.  One question I would ask Vic would be how he went about building such an empire and of course ask for an autograph.  Vic Edelbrock is one person I would invite to dinner.
