Ohio Technical College Teams Up With Edelbrock
Friday, November 18th, 2011UPCOMING COVERAGE OF THE ROLEX MONTEREY MOTORSPORTS REUNION ON SPEED CHANNEL THIS SUNDAY 3:30 EST
Tuesday, September 6th, 2011Vic and Christi competed this year with the Corvette 614, Shelby 55, Smokey Camaro 13 and the Boss 16. It was a great event with record crowds.
The Smokey Car had a mechanical incident so unfortunately they had to start last on the grid for the Saturday afternoon race. Vic in the 16 car, lost oil pressure in the Saturday morning race so he didn’t make the race in the afternoon.
They also ran a great carburetor contest for high school auto shop kids at the Edelbrock west coast event trailer. Each participant received $1000 scholarship from Ohio Technical College with the winning team receiving $5000, 2nd place $3000, 3rd place $2500. These contests are easy to do providing great opportunities for the kids, they are not teaching anything about carburetion at the high school level anymore!

Race & Performance Expo
Friday, March 5th, 2010If you’re in the greater Chicago area this weekend… Join us for The 3rd Annual Racing & Performance Expo will be held on March 6th & 7th @Pheasant Run Resort in St. Charles IL. There are several activities hosted throughout the day including multiple seminars hosted by Vic Edelbrock, and Rick Moroso as well as The Hot Rodders of Tomorrow Engine Challenge.
A BRIEF HISTORY:
Started in 2008, The Race & Performance Expo was a huge success from the beginning. Drawing from across the country, our 2nd Annual Race & Performance Expo saw growth in the number of manufacturers, vendors, and general public that attended. With over 275 booths showing a vast array of the newest high performance racing components, this event has become the largest High Performance Expo of its kind in the Midwest. Many of the manufacturers stated that this show allows them to “get back to the grassroots of racing”. “The Race & Performance Expo has filled a need in the Midwest with this type of show. A show that offers not only the Racing Industry members such as the engine and chassis builders, manufacturers, and vendors of Racing and High Performance components to talk face to face, but for the general racing fan that wants to be part of this exciting Industry”. Always trying to improve the Expo, the 2010 show will have a separate room which will focus on Street Rod / Muscle Cars, along with street rod and muscle car retail vendors. …copy pulled from raceperofmanceexpo.com
