David R Thomas writes to us about his E-force Supercharged Corvette.

1 E Force to be Reckoned With

It was such a pleasure to meet with you and your family at the Charlotte AutoFair. We thank you, Nancy and Christi for taking the time for a couple of photos with us and our Corvette. Per your request, I’m sending this email and attaching a few different pictures of our car. It is always my pleasure to tell others about our car since we had the #1591 ,599HP, E-force Supercharger Kit installed. It has made our Corvette an entirely different car! We were proud and happy with our Corvette before we had the kit installed, but it is absolutely amazing now. Our Corvette Grand Sport now has ZR1 performance for a fraction of the cost. The E-force kits are complete and engineered to give thousands of miles of reliable performance. Not only are the superchargers trouble free, but they are engineered for the vehicle as whole so the rest of the power train will function with confidence as well. The optional power train warranty gives even the most cautious owner continued peace of mind as well.

Driving the car is addictive and it keeps a permanent grin on your face. I have given many of my friends and family the opportunity to enjoy our car and they all say the same type of things when they get out such as “This is the fastest car I have ever driven in my life”. “The power is smooth.” “How many tickets have you gotten in it so far?” ‘You mean you get to drive this car everyday?!” “So does your wife ever let you drive?” For us, owning this car is not just a matter of having a nice car. We are true enthusiast that live this way as a lifestyle. It is our passion and we live it 24/7 365 days a year. I have been an enthusiast for 35 years and it just so happens that I have been an Edelbrock customer for all of those 35 years. When I was 15 my first car was a 69 Camaro and the very first modification I made to it was a pair of Edelbrock aluminum valve covers. My Dad, who wasn’t even a performance enthusiast went with me to a local speed shop. I thought I was goingto purchase a set of gold Moroso valve covers, but my Dad recommended the Edelbrock polished aluminum valve covers instead. Even back then the Edelbrock name was well known and respected. I appreciated his adviceand was very happy with them on my car. Next came the Edelbrock aluminum intake manifold and I have been using your products ever since. They are always well made and affordable. The Edelbrock name is synonymous with power and performance and it is recognized the world over. And with the current economy seeing “Made In The USA” gives us all the great feeling of that American pride.

UPCOMING COVERAGE OF THE ROLEX MONTEREY MOTORSPORTS REUNION ON SPEED CHANNEL THIS SUNDAY 3:30 EST

Tuesday, September 6th, 2011

Vic and Christi competed this year with the Corvette 614, Shelby 55, Smokey Camaro 13 and the Boss 16. It was a great event with record crowds.
The Smokey Car had a mechanical incident so unfortunately they had to start last on the grid for the Saturday afternoon race. Vic in the 16 car, lost oil pressure in the Saturday morning race so he didn’t make the race in the afternoon.
They also ran a great carburetor contest for high school auto shop kids at the Edelbrock west coast event trailer. Each participant received $1000 scholarship from Ohio Technical College with the winning team receiving  $5000, 2nd place $3000, 3rd place $2500. These contests are easy to do providing great opportunities for the kids, they are not teaching anything about carburetion at the high school level anymore!

Edelbrock Hot Rod Power Tour – Newton, IA

Saturday, June 5th, 2010
hrpt4 400 Edelbrock Hot Rod Power Tour Newton, IA
Iowa Speedway – Newton, IA

Today we’re in Newton, IA - the host city for the start of the 2010 Hot Rod Power Tour.  This year’s Tour covers seven cities in seven days, from Newton, IA -to- Mobile, AL.  If you’re familiar with the Power Tour, you know it is an eclectic mix of cool cars, automotive industry companies, host cities and a community of friendly people with one commonality – we all love cars.

Not familiar with Hot Rod Power Tour?  Let me tell you what makes it so special…
It’s the idea of being in a new city every day. It’s the car show that takes shape throughout the day as participants funnel in from the 200-300 mile drive. It’s the local community coming out to see the car show – which is free to attend. It’s the camaraderie of friends made along the tour. It’s the smell of high octane fuel, the sound of loud exhausts and and the thumb of big camshafts. It’s the drive through middle America on long forgotten roads in this otherwise point-A-to-point-B get there as fast as you can world. It’s the drive through small towns where the local people turnout lining the streets in lawn chairs waiving American flags and begging for burnouts. It’s the feeling of knowing where you are going and enjoying every mile of the drive.

To sum it up, the Hot Rod Power Tour is a pilgrimage for Hot Rodders that forms a common bond through it’s seven city, seven day, ”here today, gone tomorrow” tour of middle America.
